I choose alternative investments because I do not want my prosperity to correlate to the stock market. Traditional investments work for some people. But I’m in mid 50s and I see enormous risks associated with the market:
- Index averages have been on an enormous rise over the past 10 years, and I perceived real risks.
- I didn’t like the U.S. debt levels, which I consider to be another threat to market forces.
- I want to success regardless of what politicians decide.
